Digit29 Technologies Private Limited ("Digit29", "we", "us") is a product studio registered in India. We build software for individuals and we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website (digit29.com) and to the products we publish, including Drifty.
1. Who we are
Digit29 Technologies Private Limited is incorporated in India under the Companies Act, 2013. Our registered office address and contact details are provided at the end of this policy and in the footer of digit29.com.
2. Information we collect
We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. Specifically:
- This website: We do not require accounts and we do not run third-party advertising trackers. We may collect anonymous, aggregated visit statistics (such as page views, country, and device class) to understand how the site is used.
- Drifty: Drifty is designed to be private by default. Conversations between paired users are end-to-end encrypted, which means we cannot read message contents. We collect the minimum operational data required to deliver messages (e.g., delivery metadata, pairing codes, anonymous device identifiers) and crash diagnostics. We do not require an email address, phone number, or real name to use Drifty.
- Communications: If you email us at hello@digit29.com, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect only to:
- Operate and deliver our products and services to you;
- Diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and improve product quality;
- Respond to your communications and support requests;
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. End-to-end encryption
Drifty conversations are end-to-end encrypted. This means messages are encrypted on your device and only the paired recipient can decrypt them. Digit29 cannot read the contents of your messages. Encryption keys are generated and stored on your device. If you lose access to your device, encrypted message history may not be recoverable.
5. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as is necessary to provide our services or as required by law. In Drifty, messages are designed to auto-clear, and one-time media is deleted from our servers after delivery and view. Operational logs are retained for a limited period for security and reliability purposes.
6. Service providers
We use a small number of trusted third-party service providers to operate our products (for example, cloud hosting, push notification delivery, and crash reporting). These providers process data only on our behalf and under contractual obligations consistent with this policy.
7. Children
Our products are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
